To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Fermes de Marie, a cuvée was specially designed. Composed of 50% Grenache and 50% Syrah from the finest plots of Domaine de Marie in the Luberon, this wine offers roundness, indulgence and fruit. As Arnaud Bressy, the cellar master, explains: "This very distinctive wine delivers, on the nose, notes of red fruits, liquorice, spices and slight notes of undergrowth. On the palate, it reveals fruity notes but also a lot of finesse and freshness. It is a rich wine, full of elegance." Harvested in 2017 and bottled after twelve months of aging in oak demi-muids for 70% and 30% in artisanally made terracotta jars. The end result is better oxygenation of the wine, fine tannins and a very beautiful aromatic complexity. To be enjoyed this winter, knowing that the vintage was produced in 1989 numbered bottles, in a nod to the year Fermes de Marie opened.
