La Bastide de Marie is one of those places that you would like to keep for yourself. A beautiful residence that combines all the charms of Provence with simplicity and refinement. You would like time to stop to savor the sweetness of life that bathes the place. Especially since here, nature is more than just a decor, it is an art of living. Located in one of the most beautiful villages in Provence, in Ménerbes, in the Luberon Regional Natural Park, La Bastide de Marie is set in the Domaine de Marie, a 23-hectare wine estate.
An authentic 18th-century Provencal stone farmhouse set among cypresses, lavender and olive trees, La Bastide de Marie is an intimate haven of peace with the allure of a family home. While its elegant and warm decoration, combining second-hand furniture and baroque pieces, contributes to its uniqueness, it is also its unique setting that enchants passing guests.
In the fall, the grape harvest season, the vineyard lights up with shimmering colors, life is in full swing at the estate. In the beautiful spring days, La Bastide awakens with its breakfasts taken in the shade of the lime trees and a yoga session with a view of the Luberon! Each season, it reveals its unique charm. Whether you indulge in reading by the fireplace or learn the art of winemaking at the bend in the road, La Bastide de Marie combines the art of living in all its forms with simplicity and refinement.
And if tasting the estate's wines, under the expert advice of the cellar master, remains a must, the pleasure of the senses also continues at the renowned table of chef François Martin with his market menu. The plate reflects Provence and its vines, its colors and its aromas. "I mainly use local products as well as the wines of the Estate that are found in particular in sauces, marinades, granitas", explains the chef who concocts in the fall the famous mallard with root vegetables and figs poached in the Estate's red wine.
Discover the tableAn exquisite immersion in the terroir but also in an ecological and responsible wine-growing universe. "Our ambition is to have a real agritourism approach, little developed in France but very present in Italy. This approach perfectly reflects our values: love of the terroir, simplicity, good food, but also elegance and refinement", explains Nicolas Sibuet.
